What this site is, what it is not, and the one rule that outranks the rest.

Nothing here is clinical advice
This is the rule that outranks everything else on this page. Nothing published under this masthead states or implies a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a clinical outcome for any individual. Our recommendations are addressed to systems, budgets and programmes.
If you have a health concern, speak to a qualified clinician. Do not delay doing so because of anything you read here, and do not use anything here to decide the care of another person.
Using the site
You may read, quote and cite this site freely for research, policy, teaching and journalism, with attribution to Global Primary Health Forum and a link or a reference to the page.
You may not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, present our work as your own, alter a figure and keep our name on it, or use our marks in a way that implies partnership, endorsement or accreditation that does not exist.
Our content and marks
Text, charts, frameworks and report design on this site are the copyright of Global Primary Health Forum unless stated otherwise. The Forum wordmark and aperture, and the Global AI Forum mark shown as our analytical partner, are the property of their respective owners and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Where a report is published under an open licence, the licence is stated on the report itself and that licence governs, not this page.
Figures, sources and judgement
Every figure on this site names a publisher and a date. We take care with them and we can still be wrong: sources revise their estimates, base populations differ between publishers, and survey years do not always line up. Figures are provided for information and are not a warranty of accuracy.
Where a position is our assessment rather than a measured index, we say so on the page. The priority field on the map page is the clearest example: its horizontal axis is a judgement, it is labelled as one, and it should not be cited as a measured indicator.
If you find an error, write to us. We will correct it and say what changed.
Third party links and availability
We link to WHO, World Bank, IDF, United Nations and academic sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their availability.
We aim to keep this site up and we do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Primary Health Forum is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this site, including decisions taken by an organisation on the basis of a figure, framework or recommendation published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continued use of the site after that means you accept the updated version.
